The Journey Continues

Catch Fitness 20 Week Challenge 2017

In 2007 I participated in the first 20 Week Challenge along with an amazing group of women at Olympus Health and Fitness under the expert eye of the amazing Broni McSweeny, creator of the 20 Week Challenge. It was hard but there was so much support and encouragement within the group as well as a good dose of competition - no one wanted to be the one that didn't achieve.

Skip forward to 2016 after overseas trips, baking, a couple of operations where I was unable to exercise, baking, many, many morning teas with mince savouries and more baking and the kilos had increased. I also felt I had sunk into a rut: I wasn't spontaneous - everything was planned - I always had to get the mundane things like cooking, cleaning, tidying and washing done before anything else.

I met up with Broni and she suggested I do the challenge again - Crikey! That made me think! But I rose to the challenge and did it! I took on Abs and Adventure and was proud of what I achieved. It gave me a focus and I enjoyed it so much I am doing it again!

This time I am attempting Flexibility as I am definitely not!! I will also go in for the Maintenance section, keeping the fitness and strength from last year going. I am going to try and maintain adventure and fun! I figured I should do some Early Starter Challenges: Flexibility, Hydration, Active Tissue Mass Quality, Adventures and Keeping my weight under control. That should keep me busy!

Last year saw me back on a horse after about 25 years!
